I heard her call her dad and was nearly in tears when Cow Heifers be trippin OK maybe I pushed her shirt. I’m thankful for the experience to begin to commiserate with others who suffer much worse for much longer. She was in the wrong, there is no doubt, but she knew that. We all deserve empathy and kindness because we all make mistakes. Thankfully this one resulted in a couple of dented up cars and not a couple of dented up people (neither of us was hurt).

I’m sure my cape wearing little kids will find this book amazing. I might even be able to persuade my big kids to read it and help create activities. Sometimes my teens don’t understand why kids act kids. I preordered it on Amazon and it is as amazing as you describe. My six-year-old daughter who just started first grade yesterday flipped through the whole book, mesmerized.
It’s all still there when we get back. Yes I really do need all these dogs but more importantly they need shirt on index cards so I can put in my kiddo’s lunchbox every day of school. I write a note to him on the other side, telling him a good thing about himself and how much I love him. He’s autistic and I’m not sure he ‘gets it’ but he keeps every one. Best and easiest thing I have ever done to make him see how awesome he is. My mom wrote it, tucked it into my camera bag, and sent me off to Spain.
I’m grateful I didn’t throw in the towel when I broke down on the We’re more than just Golfing friends we’re like a really small gang shirt. There was so much yet to be written. Life’s race depletes us and distracts us from our most important work: The Work of Becoming. Who we are becoming is far more important than where we are going. I’m tired today; I’m depleted, but I’m not throwing in the towel. Maybe you don’t want to either. You are such an encourager and you pay attention to the important details of life.

Lately, he has been so hard on himself while he plays. He doesn’t want to make any mistakes and has started losing his temper if he makes a bad shot. I’ve never seen this in him before.
